sundeep kishan as the protagonist is outstandingly doing the younger brother act. he is one of those characters who take his situations so seriously but comes off as a likable person. he is one cool dude with a cool list of feats. his character adds to the movie’s appeal. our man is one hell of a pal. the actor is an ace at pulling off close-ups and is master at playing emotions on his face. its a sight to behold. he is the right person for the part, right from the start

venkatadri express is a story-driven drama. the director must have been itching to make a good film in the genre and it shows. the film has a must watch title in the telugu movie industry – rakul preet singh. we hope that the movie becomes a big hit and the director’s venture in film industry becomes a success story. let us now check out the movie and its content.

at the start of the film, the police officer of the city visits his brother, bhushan. bhushan claims that his brother is missing. bhushan does not have any evidence on the disappearance of sundeep. after a fight between the brother and bhushan, sundeep gets kicked out of the house. with his friends and family, sundeep wants to travel to bombay and stay in an unknown house. on the way to bombay, the friends get separated from sundeep. when they ask sundeep why he is moving away, he tells them that he wants to leave the city because he has been very, very insulted. the movie is set to begin.

Mystalious Express leaves you with enough to talk about and still having enough unfinished business as such. So much so that after watching it I don’t want to play around at all. I am just thinking of the next thing to be played. That’s not a bad thing at all.
This is a good concept, but it needs refining to give it an edge. Venkatadri Express’s entertainment quotient is pretty good. It shows a lot of promise. The writing is crisply done. Music is average. Cinematography is not bad. Editing is good. Art direction and lighting are good.
It doesn’t have what it takes to be taken seriously as cinema. Venkatadri Express is far from what an entertainer should be. And yet there is enough in it to make for a good time. It has entertainment quotient and is well worth a watch.
Considering the kind of a movie this is, it doesn’t pack much of a punch. The climax is disappointing. The whole film appears to be plodding. It does not flow well. The scenes from the first half is dull. The second half is okay. The songs in the first half are mind-boggling.
’Ma’am,’ an arrogant voice calls out to the stern-looking gentleman seated in the cargo hold of a roaring express train. ‘Yes.’ The man appears not to notice the interruption, but a woman stands next to him. And then, a man who is evidently a passenger steps up and clasps the stern-looking gentleman’s hands.
Towards the end, just before the climax, the movie loses its focus. The technical strengths of the movie, which before were pushed to hilt, start losing their focus. The biggest disappointment is, Venkatadri Express fails to sustain the intensity of the first half. This half promises a lot, but fails to deliver. Except for the climax, the second half does not make up for the first half. Though for a movie with a complete length of two hours, it is too short.
