first, the key to decrypt the sound bank is the same key used to decrypt the firmware. this is the same key that was used to create the sound canvas software. i used one of the videos to find the firmware decoding key. it was the first video i watched and i got to this point, so i was able to get some information from it.
there are many features that the sc-55 and sc-88 offer that are not available in the ppg wave, one of the most useful being the sound canvas editor. this is a powerful tool that lets you adjust individual sounds in many different ways. if you’re looking for a tool that lets you create your own sounds and then edit them, the sc-55 and sc-88 are really the only viable option.
once the software has been installed and the virtual sound canvas launched, you need to navigate to the folder where the sounds are stored, and open the sound file that you want to work with. you will see that it will automatically adjust the sound canvas software and the sounds will be displayed inside the editor.
