MicroSim board consists of four different modules:

Simulation Control Module:
MicroSim always uses the most recently provided data values, which are produced by the application that uses this module and are stored in this module. The available data types are:
clock – The number of clock pulses since the start of simulation run
count – Increments when triggered
singleQuot – Single character receives from dbg module
doubleQuot – Double character receives from dbg module
byteArray – Byte array of received characters
byteArrayOverload – Byte array of received characters and allowing deregisters
characterArray – Character array
charArrayOverload – Character array and allowing deregisters
incrementArray – Array of incremented values (contains all above mentioned data types)
TestModule:
TestModule is used to check the user’s code for correct bit setting.
MicroSim simulates the pins on the user’s board when the user’s code is run. A data structure is created internally for each pin on the micro-controller on which the user’s code is running.
The simulation data is generated dynamically by the tool. For dynamic simulation the following values are stored:
pinMode – Function that tells MicroSim which pin should be in high or low state
bv – The bit value
in – the variable to save the bit value
func – which particular pin is to be changed
This data structure can be used by the user’s program to generate simulation data. MicroSim can be used with the MicroSim debug module for debugging. The debug module is a console application that
