Amnesty, Brussels support Pakistan’s UN bid for membership

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – Amnesty International and civil society organizations in Brussels and beyond called on EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini to support Pakistan’s bid for UN membership at the United Nations General Assembly on Friday.

The human rights group will launch a campaign ahead of the UN General Assembly session on Sept. 24-25 with the aim of pushing for the UN Security Council to grant the country permanent membership.

“A vote for Pakistan at the UN General Assembly is for the world to protect the rights of all Pakistanis and stand for justice for the government of Pakistan,” said Amnesty International’s Jan Triska, who is leading the campaign.

“We therefore call on the EU to support the democratic will of the Pakistani people and grant the country UN membership,” he said.

  Good, game is good. WTF is not good? Like Risen 3, this feels like an unfinished product.
  Pros: Controls are decent and pretty similar to the previous titles; interface and information placements really make the game easy to use. The weapon system (even in the basic version) is very interesting and I am having a blast using it. And the boss battles are fantastic.
  Cons: While the main story is a solid one, it is made up of only 7 chapters that take a long, long time to complete. The final battle, however, is not quite good in terms of the pacing.   The new additions to the game include changes to certain abilities (like the changes in the new move sets) and being able to upgrade your weapon and armor. The new set items have no purpose at all and being able to enchant an item or change the icon of your set to a different color or make a different shape is kind of cool. But why not just improve the skill set of your weapon or armor? The ability to change sets is really, really lame.
  The time spent on those 7 chapters may be good for some, but I think a lot of people would want more of a story to be told. I’m sure I am not alone in this.
  On the positive side, the new story content is good. The new story starts about when the previous game finished with a new level of main character. Our main protagonist is a young Elden Archer named Mina (or as I would read, MiNa). She seems very wise and she has the ability to track the movement of people as well as the lay of the land.
  Meanwhile, events are occurring at an abnormally rapid pace. This quickly leads to the Elden army being scattered and a true threat to the lands being unleashed. Mina decides to gather the remaining members of the Elden army and attempt to stop the threat.
  While the storyline is the main point of the game, we also have multiplayer. While the basic version has only one map, two players can play on the same map. And I think the multiplayer is a nice addition to the story.
