Parsing timestamp and check if time is still valid in C#

What is the best way to compare two timestamps in C# and check if one is a valid timestamp.
For example i have a timestamp and maybe later a new timestamp comes in.
I want to know if the timestamp comes from a server if it is up or down and if the time i have is still valid.
The thing is the timestamp can contain some special characters like? where? can be a year or something else.
I can not assume it to be in a certain format so i can not just compare them.
I hope someone can help me with this and give me an example of a timestamp that is a valid one.

I enjoyed the most playing the EDGE OF XENO.The graphics weren’t bad but the character design was a bit different from other RPG games. (If you’re going to do character design make the characters more distinct with unique appearance)

The game play mechanics were fairly easy and it wasn’t difficult to learn the game. You should make sure that you’re familiarized with the game’s interface. (You must know how to use the map, items, skills, and trade items.)
