More specifically, the invention is directed to a multiple-beam laser radiation generator having an integrated cooling element.
It is well known that laser radiation generators are used for various purposes, in particular for generating laser radiation for laser beam scanning. One such laser radiation generator, also referred to as a laser scanner, is known, for example, from DE 44 35 442 A1. In the laser scanner known from this document, laser radiation is coupled out from the laser rod by means of laser radiation coupling elements. The laser rod is held in a laser rod holder which is integrated into a housing. A part of the laser radiation, in particular the second-harmonic radiation, is coupled back into the laser rod by means of a suitable mirror, whereby the laser rod is heated.
The known laser scanner has the disadvantage that the housing itself is heated up by the laser radiation. This heating of the housing causes a rapid increase in the operating temperature of the laser scanner. A further disadvantage is the cooling of the housing, in particular by means of an air flow. The thermal energy introduced into the housing leads to an increase in the temperature of the surrounding air. This then influences the operation of the laser scanner since, as a result of heat conduction, the surroundings of the laser scanner can be heated up. A further disadvantage of the known laser scanner is the loss of cooling air as a result of the laser radiation coupling elements. This loss of cooling air is disadvantageous in that it impairs the heat transfer in the vicinity of the laser scanner.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to improve a laser scanner in such a way that, in contrast to the known laser scanner, its environment can be cooled off without heating.
According to the invention, the laser scanner comprises a housing which is integrated into a cooling element. The cooling element is preferably a hollow body, for example, an aluminum or plastic hollow body. In
